Mr. John Amedu Obekpa is a seasoned development strategist, policy analyst, and resource management expert with over three decades of professional experience in Nigeria’s raw materials development and industrial policy landscape. He has had a distinguished career spanning 34 years at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), where he has contributed to national initiatives aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s capacity for resource-based industrialization and sustainable economic development.

During his long service at the Council, Mr. Obekpa has worked across several technical and strategic departments, playing key roles in advancing programmes focused on raw materials value chain development, local content promotion, technology adaptation, and the commercialization of indigenous resources for industrial use. .
